Trainining Sessions XI-I

During the First Phase of the 11th EWP Training Sessions

The 11th EWP – Phase I training sessions under the Empower Pengal initiative was successfully held on month of October, 2025 in all the districts of the Northern province, marking another milestone in supporting women entrepreneurs to improve their business management capacity.

The training focused on separating personal and business finances and introduced key bookkeeping practices, including:

  • • Maintain a daily record of income and expenses
  • • Differentiate direct and indirect business costs
  • • Use Cash Books, Payment Vouchers, and Receipts
  • • Hands-on group practice with real-life examples

Interactive game activities were included to help participants identify common financial recording errors, making the learning engaging and relatable.

This initiative is led by WUSC Sri Lanka, with funding from Global Affairs Canada (GAC) and implemented in collaboration with Lanka Impact Investing Network (LIIN).

The program continues to support women across the Northern Province by strengthening financial confidence and business decision-making.
