During the 10th Training Sessions of EDTP

The 10th EDTP sessions under our Empower Pengal program was held in all districts of the Northern Province on month of September, 2025, with the purpose of guiding women entrepreneurs to manage their businesses with legal awareness and confidence.

🎯 Objectives of the training included:
✅ Understanding labour laws and standards
✅ Gaining knowledge about legal responsibilities and licenses for running a business
✅ Learning EPF/ ETF contribution and registration methods
✅ Practicing fair and equitable human resource management (Fair HRM Practices)
✅ Exploring regulations on recruitment, employment contracts, and termination
✅ Receiving practical guidance to legally strengthen businesses and support future growth

This initiative is led by Lanka Impact Investing Network - LIIN together with WUSC Sri Lanka, and is powered by the Government of Canada’s Global Affairs Canada (GAC).

Through this training, women entrepreneurs in the Northern Province are better equipped to build businesses that are legally compliant, resilient, and growth-focused.
